Lot's of good teams have go unsuspecting into Happy Valley and return not so happy...
NW drives Iowa fans insane.
IL is a big unknown.
Hope you are way wrong....on the positive.

Why do predictions have to go out on a limb? The point is to get as many right as possible, not to make the most outlandish picks.

That sounds like a pretty solid prediction, in line with what most of us were saying the other day.
I had them at 20-11 also, except 10-3 OOC and 10-8 in league play. Guess the reason for my 10-8 conference record compared to your 9-9 is that I'm factoring in (or maybe just hoping for?) the team to start gelling by February, and go on a roll late, especially with the toughest part of the conference schedule out of the way.
As you indicated, I think they will be on the bubble going into the Big Ten Tournament, and will have to win a game or two there to get an NCAA bid.

LOL...we have a plugin that automatically posts stories from the content manager into the applicable forum on the boards...so that is the lede on the story on the content side of things.

I'm so excited about Iowa hoops. Can't wait for the game Friday.
I haven't felt this way for a long time. Amazing!!!
And next year could be even better, if everyone stays healthy and in school!!!!

I think they have to sweep them to make the NCAA. I am not calling for a sweep and am saying NIT 1 or 2 seed right now.

I'm sticking with 17-14.
I don't think we get our first B10 win until PSU. That is a tough front-end schedule. Hope I am wrong, though.
Really excited to see the team and the improvement of the players from last year. I have missed Iowa basketball over the past decade (approx).

Thats small picture you're looking at, look at the bigger picture, excellent coach staff, new facilities, playing style, coaches spending time with players and recruiting good players, too many factors that should improve us competitionwise. If i'm not right , shoot me then.

Why are you not looking at the big picture when making a season prediction? That's why the football team is having so much trouble.

Holy smokes... That is BJ, Marble, Gamble, Horton, Lohaus win territory. I don't think we are there yet.

B10 10-7 with losses coming to Indiana-2, Michigan-1, OSU-1, Minny-1, Wisky-1, and one to either Purdue or NW.
22-8 will win one game in B10 Tourney and seal a 8 or 9 seed in the dance. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!
