On KCRG @ 6 p.m. - Using tasers at Kinnick

I've followed the instructions of every police officer I've ever encountered and I've never been tasered. My guess is if this yahoo had complied with officer instructions instead of arguing with him for 10 minuites there wouldn't have been an issue. The fact he's a formal soldier isn't an excuse, in fact I'd expect just the opposit from a former member of the military.

This taser use is getting out of control. I know when you mix irresponsible people and beer you can get dangerous people, but police officers should be physically prepared to apprehend someone without the risk involved of using these devices.

Because I may not have a problem with officers using this that have a good record of following correct procedures, but you allow some of these younger officers, or officers with ego issues to carry these, your going to see a lot improper uses of tasing.

I had a terrible experience with Iowa city officers when riding in a car with someone that ran through a late yellow light. Searched the car for about an hour for drugs. I had some cigars and he told me he knows exactly why im caring those, implying i use them to roll joints or something. Just completely unprofessional with a major ego problem.

No drugs. And it just drove him wild that his assumption was wrong.

But yea heres a link about issues with tasers

Spot on. This guy certainly wasn't acting like the choir boy that he wants everyone to believe.
