I'm not getting all the Fran angst. He's recruiting well and typically his teams finish in the top half of the league. He won the BiG tourney just a couple of years ago. Purdue hadn't performed well in March until this past year with a lot better players than Fran's.

It's angst in general from the fan base wanting yearly tournament trips and a S16 once a decade or so. Fran has the deck stacked against him and in my opinion there isn't a clearly better replacement out there who would realistically come to Iowa. So I think Iowa should keep him.

We're talking about Omaha/Foster/Proctor, etc giving their commitment to a certain school. I think we need to come up with a different word that commitment.
