Phelps swam the 200m butterfly in the 2000 Olympics at the age of 15 where he finished 5th. So this will indeed mark his fourth Olympics. Very impressive.

Wow, didn't realize that. Usually the only 22, errr 15 year olds in the Olympics are Chinese gymnasts.

Is it just me or is Phelps slowing down? i wonder if he is just holding it all in for the Games.. Very fast american swimmers overall. Some of the guys getting 5th place would represent a lot of other countrys as Olympians.

It's hard to tell, I think. It's also possible that he's timing his peak just right for London. The proof will be in the Olympic results.
