LOL I think you need to spend a little more time focusing on your articles that you actually get paid (?) for rather than the nonsense that makes up much of the postings on this website. Do you think many, including myself, really give a damn about 99% of the hyperbole and crap that people post? Bottom line is I have zero need nor reason to disclose to you or anyone else for that matter why I say what I say and post what I post. If you or anyone else want to call me out and call it "opinion", then awesome! I could care less! Go for it and have fun while you are doing it. To me? It's comical. You post and write what you write because you have reason to believe it is fact, you have witnessed the situation yourself, or you have what you believe is an extremely credible source. Right? This is a really wordy way to say "I don't have a source, but I'm going to pretend like I do in order to try to make it seem like my opinion is credible". There's simply no way all of these D1 basketball coaches can evaluate talent better than you right?
Look, we all hope Olaseni ends up emerging as a big time player. To suggest he's always been better than Woodbury is nothing more than ludicrous. He doesn't have the basketball intelligence or experience. He has shown nothing more than flashes of ability during real live action against legit opponents. There have also been plenty of times where he just plain looked overwhelmed and lost out there. Woodbury has made mistakes and his shot has been rocky at times, but his basketball IQ , effort, and toughness has shown from the beginning. Do you honestly think Fran would start Woodbury over someone who has proven he's better than him?

All of this assumes that people on this board believe their opinions are facts. We all have a take on what goes on. But very few of us post with the arrogance that what we say is fact. You are one of the few, yet give no evidence at all to support your assertions.
You can believe your info to be 100% factual all you want. But if you're going to be a ******** to anyone who has a different take than you, then you better be willing to back yourself up. And for the record, you left out a reason for posting something that's very popular on anonymous message boards: You're just full of ****. Plenty of crap gets posted when the poster has no reason to believe it's fact, or he/she might even know that it's false. This is an example of trolling.
BTW, the bolded is yet another weak deflection from the main point, in case you're confused as to what a deflection is.

I will weigh in here just for fun. I think BasketballMan is responding to Gabe's athleticism and saying as an athlete he has a higher ceiling and there may be something to that. However.....Woody is a much, much, much better basketball player than Gabe is right now. Woody has been playing since he was a little kid and has a big basketball IQ. Woody will play in the NBA for a long time and Gabe has a chance if he keeps lerning the game and how to play defense. I am glad we have both of them on our team.

That's actually what everyone EXCEPT BasketballMan has been saying. He just says that Gabe outplayed Woody in practice all the time and that Gabe WILL be the better player.

Just a thought on Gabe. The upcoming trip to Europe has the potential to be an audition for him. If he can play significant/meaningful minutes during the trip, and play well, this could be an audition for him. In all likelihood, the best chance he has to continue his basketball career after he is done at Iowa is to play in Europe. With this trip, he could show his athleticism and potential to teams over there.

I don't know how much of an "audition" it could be, since he's still a long way off from graduating, but I agree, he has a promising European career ahead of him. European leagues usually restrict the number of non-EU players on rosters, but since Gabe is a British subject, he will have top flight American coaching and playing top-flight American competition, but will still not count as an American ex-pat.

Don't recall Gabe "getting drilled" nor do I recall any calling him "the second coming." Exaggerate much?
Gabe is more athletic than Woody. Woody is more fundamentally sound and will be the better player in the long run.
Have you spoken with Dev about his ball-hogging yet?
This is my biggest worry for next season. Hopefully Dev doesn't have too many nights where he scores 28 points on 18 shots, I don't know if we can live with that kind of efficient scoring.
He has said he wants to play on the England Olympic basketball team, so I imagine there will be people watching what he can do.
