Love Stoops or hate em....he had his boys ready to play tonight. Game plan threw Bama completely on their heels. Oklahoma is NOT playing afraid of them, and is bloodying their nose time after time. Knock out is coming.....

Thats what you gotta do against them SEC teams. Gotta play ******, gotta blacken their eye from the kickoff. Like what we did against South Carolina a few years back and even the first time we played LSU. Kicked their ***** around.

Don't tell me we can't do that again. Played too scared and nice yesterday (on O, better on D). Shoulda took that fat *** Hill and completely shut him down, with that incompetent QB they had yesterday. Didn't do it. Lets see if we can do it again real soon though.

Stoops has always been aggressive with his game plans. Tonight is no different. Its working very well. With OK's talent you can afford to be more aggressive than most. Its working tonight and it did against OK ST but its also backfired on the guy many times.

I would love to see Kirk be more aggressive but it doesn't fit Iowa's roster and sure as hell doesn't fit his style.

1. Kirk typically does a good job of preparing for SEC teams. He doesn't exactly need pointers in that department.

2. Oklahoma has FAR more team speed than Iowa does, while Alabama doesn't have a significantly different amount of speed than LSU.

Stoops should go for the kill on this 3rd and 12. You convert, you win. I wouldn't trust my D after that last display.

Also, AJ McCarron looks like Forrest Gump. Goofy ba$tard.

Actually Oklahomeless woulda been better off if that defender doesn't score. No chance for Alabama to get the ball back that way. It's called presence of mind. I wouldn't expect an Oklhoma "student" athlete to possess it.

I wish Iowa could get players with half the talent these teams have. Instead, it usually takes 3-4 years for that talent to develop

the bolded was the key, IMO.

Our boys played nervous for the entire first half. I started to think about how few of our guys actually played in the last bowl game (maybe a few). not enough to play with confidence against that team.

does that fall on coaching? Maybe. but i think it can be fixed, because it has been better in past years.

way dumber than dropping the ball short of the end zone on a pick 6. Erbian special teams by Bama.

This game would be over if that Oklahoma defender would have just fallen on the fumble. That kind of lack of presence of mind would drive me crazy as a coach.

Well I guess it's over now since that kickoff trucked that Alabama player.

Stoops. I'll still take him over.... well , ya know.

Forgive my bias from sitting next to him in Western Civ...

There's literally nothing dumber in the game of football than what Lowdermilk did against LSU. We all witness the dumbest football act. That kind of BS should have happened once in the entire history of football, and that one example should have been so shocking and gut wrenching that no subsequent player would have ever dropped the football again until he was flush with the backstop behind the endzone.

I surely hope next season goes beyond playing scared.

You're crazy! That scoop and score sealed the win as much as falling down and eating clock would have. It's not like Bama was going to score twice in that amount of time.

I think Alabama is a faster version of LSU. LSU is Alabama light........I would still take bama's line and running back. Those guys are beasts. However, Oklahoma has themselves some QB and very good receivers. Great game to watch tonight!

Really?

Kickoff return (or quick strike,) onside kick, recover, score, OT. Not likely, but certainly possible.

Fall on fumble or down it at the 1 and trade personal aggrandizement for certain team victory.

It's called presence of mind.

They beat ALA-*******-BAMA by two touchdowns, and you're finding reasons to ***** about how they pulled it off?

Actually, that sounds just like you.

There's not really a thread I've found to address this topic, but has anyone else looked into ESPN's FPI garbage? The system is now 17 for 30 on its bowl predictions and 4 of its 7 two-touchdown favorites have lost. Because FPI has Florida State favored by 13.4, I'm starting to think Auburn has a really good chance to win.
