Okeefe's departure has to make you wonder

good move---gets to go live in south florida, coaches QB's --which means he just sits in the film room with them and points stuff out. Worst case: he gets fired after a couple three years and lives in fla for retirement---best case he makes his mark and becomes an oc.

The poster Golfer seems to have some insight about some of the inner workings of the program. Check his threads and posts:

Ultimately I think deep down KF has been embarrassed by the last few years. We give him crap for being so quiet and reserved but I think he was really bothered and his pride was hurt. There are so many things that we will never know and that is the way it should be. You won't see KF out in the press calling out guys or trashing any reputation they may have had.

I think this decision was in the works for awhile and I am curious to know how much contact KOK actually had with recruits. I think to most the writing was on the wall and it was time to make a change. I think for all parties it was the right move. I hope KOK has great success and wish him the best and I hope the OC is picked swiftly and is a good fit for the program.

Just "blown away " by this new's.WTF,day after National signing day ? That is not cool for the kid's recruited for the offense.Kinda false advertising. Not saying it's a good or bad thing regarding Ken O.,offensive co. Can never win. Goes with the job . Personally,I can remember a hell of a lot more good call's then bad ones !Good luck Ken !

if you think the offense was a kok design then you would be wrong. this is kf's theory on offense and kok just ran it. the offense will stay the same with some minor tweaks. an oc runs what they are told to. the offensive recruits still fit the system. now if they came for kok as a coach then i feel bad for them.

I can't! What Hawkeye games have you been watching dude.

Not sure any offensive player committed because of KOK.

The news that Ken O'Keefe was leaving his post as Iowa's offensive ... "I just heard…that sucks," Quarterback C.J. Beathard said in a text message. ... "He said that Coach (Kirk) Ferentz just signed a new deal and he was with him. ... "C.J. told me that he felt like he knew Coach O'Keefe forever

if you don't think that KOK designed this offense to fit into what his boss wanted to run, then you would be wrong.

and if you don't think that players come to a school because of a coach, you would be wrong on that as well.

Ankle, what is your actual opinion on this topic? You do a lot of picking apart of specific words and phrases people post. Let's hear your own opinion on what you believe went down.

Bigger salary and warmer weather possibly. A chance to move up. Who would turn that down if it was offered to you. Its hard to not be negative and cynical when coaches leave because the rebuilding process starts over again. KF will bring in the best coaches that are available in college or the NFL. Pretty exciting time to see who he'll get.

Congrats to KOK !
