Okay, HawkeyeNation. A little contest if you're up for it.

Here is what I think happens. 14 teams, 2 7 team divisions. 3 teams added. They could be:

Pittsburgh
Notre Dame
Nebraska.

Lakes Division

Wisconsin
Minnesota
Iowa
Nebraska
Northwestern
Michigan
Michigan State

Fields Division

Illinois
Indiana
Notre Dame
Purdue
the Ohio State University
Penn State
Pittsburgh

I would have 2 cross-divisional games per year. They could be a permanent rival and one other or rotating.

Certainly, the incoming universities would need some upgrading of either facilities and/or academics to enter.

The only other requirement is that the coach of Notre Dame would need to drop to his knees and genuflect to each of the current big ten teams across the field just before kick-off of each foot ball game. This is just for year one. It shows the proper respect for the conference and the proper humility for the the domers. If they refuse to do it, then screw them. Bring in Rutgers instead.

SSH, I think I like your Lakes and Fields divisions the best so far. Yeah, If ND starts behaving like they are the ones calling the shots boot them through the up-rights right out of the picture.:D
