OK, what did we learn today?

Interesting game. Iowa did best with no huddle, passing first, utilizing receiving corps. What lessons do you take away from today?

JVB set the Iowa state record for passing in high school, almost exclusively out of the gun. The OL blocking appeared to shore up a little in the 4th, but he sure looked a heck of a lot more comfortable operating from the gun than from under center.

JVB seemed to function best when he simply has to go. Looks like he missed looks to some wide open receivers, but overall he had a pretty good game once Iowa went no-huddle, look to pass.

Striving for balance on offense is perfectly fine, but you have to play to your strengths first in order to achieve that.

Clearly our strength is in the passing game. So pass to set up the run, rather than the opposite.

2 minute offense= Yards. That's true at any level. If normal offense doesn't work, try the hurry-up offense.

If KF, KOK don't realize they can put the game on JVB's shoulders, they are fools and don't deserve to be D1 coaches any longer.

Also how many penalties did we have during the comeback? How many passed did JVB miss during the comeback? Execution was day and night different from the rest of the game.

You can run but you can not HYDE when you go into Iowa stadium. ESPN analyst quote. Gotta like that!

Iowa needs to work on handling the blitz. They did better on that last TD drive.

Davis, McNutt, KMM, & Derby all made some nice catches on high balls.

I don't think its time to chuck & duck all game but you have to take advantage of your best players. The WR/TE group is that.

This team does have heart. Great comeback.
