Ok, so what do we know about Sparty?

I did not watch one single minute of the Notre Dame game, but I think they got a lot of offensive yards and still lost by 20 points. Obviously another tough environment to play in. I admit I don't know much about them outside of looking at who they have played. Does not look like they have played an away game yet. Hopefully, Iowa is more battle tested.

They haven't changed any. Dantonio still has his scowl. Lewerke their QB will run a little but doesn't protect the ball very good. They definitely aren't B1G Championship caliber. The Hawks play like they did against psu we should be alright. Well if the offense steps it up a little.:)

This is a huge game. If Iowa can bounce back and win it could propel them to 5-1 before the break, and really show that the game against PSU wasn’t just an upset environment, but perhaps the Hawks can be a really good football team. A letdown from the emotional rollercoaster of almost another huge Kinnick upset is very possible. This defense must still be gassed after 99 plays against PSU. So to rise up and get a road win is a really big deal.

Don't be fooled by the final score against ND. Sparty had 3 turnovers that ND converted into 21 points...and ND won by 20. Sparty threw a pick-six and also fumbled into the ND end zone and it basically cost them the game.

Sparty defense is really good. I thought their offense looked sketchy at times, but turnovers just killed them. Their QB likes to run, so we get another one of those games.

They play at michigan next weekend so this game has all the makings of a trap game, which is good for Iowa.

It will show how good Iowa really is. Michigan State wasn't very good last year, but they are rarely down two years in a row. When Iowa beat Iowa State I thought it pretty much assured ferentz of another 7 or 8 win year.

Look for the cramps to take over, the infamous delay of game when their gassed. A beautiful ploy by the Dantonio Boys....we need to curb stomp them. For those who were at the Big Ten championship a couple years ago, we need redemption, and I hope that freaking Italian goomba that was in front of me two years ago cries like a little b*tch when we win Saturday:cool:

I agree. Huge game. Win, you re 5-1 with a bye. Lose, 0-2 in the conference.

MSU is probably the best program at being dirty I've ever seen. They are experts in finding the line of what will get flagged in each game and then they toe that line the rest of the game.
