OK, so the Ravens are trucking the Steelers

Does this mean Mike Tomlin has become "complacent" and should be fired and replaced? Should his O and D coordinators be tossed out because their schemes are obsolete?
After one game?
Yeah, I didn't think so.

I don't advocate firing anyone, but has KF coached in 2 NCG's in the last 3 years (winning one of them)? No.

There is a much longer list of evidence to suggest that some tweaks need to be made in how we do things than there are in Pittsburgh.

Yes, the game has obviously passed Mike Tomlin by, he should be fired immediately before he does any more damage to the franchise.

Not a good weekend for me.........The Hawks lose, the Steelers get smoked. You wait 8 mos. for this and you get this.

apples/oranges comparison

Bruce Arian is the KOK of steelernation who seems like he is always on the verge of getting fired......while KOK has lifetime job security.

I expected this loss, not by this much, but I expected it. Lately, if it has been a playoff game or for the division the Steelers have won....Ravens still have to get over that hump.

I'm sorry, trj, if it seemed like I was singling teh Stillers out for ridicule, but I assure you I wasn't. It just struck me that they were perfect for my Iowa/KF metaphor. :D

And for reasons that I laid out, they are NOT perfect for your metaphor/comparison, because as trj said, it's apples/oranges.

Classic Vin. If someone disagrees with you, rather than discuss the point, just deflect with a snarky remark. You'll never lose a debate, even if you're dead wrong.

You're especially fiesty today, aren't you. :)
OK, my metaphor was quasi-invalid for the reasons you've detailed. Did I completely fail to make my point? No? Didn't think so.

How many people are honestly calling for coaches to be fired? Very few, if any. People want our coaches to be more willing to ADAPT. That's hardly asking much. At least it shouldn't be. There's not a whole lot that Parker can do this year. We just don't have the horses up front this year. But when the defense is not going to be up to its typical standards, why put more pressure on them by continuing to lean on them (particularly when the offense is the more talented unit right now)? It makes no sense at all.

Ok, you've convinced me: the Steelers should fire a Super Bowl winning coach because in your little bubble of reality, a loss yesterday somehow compares to Ferentz's ultra-conservative continue to find a way to continually lose games they should win style. Not to mention, Ferentz hasn't won an outright Big Ten title, much less a national championship.

Your "point" is made and in fact will now be considered for a Nobel Prize.

You don't like Ferentz.
