Ok, so does Iowa get Indiana or Michigan?

Ok, so what happens if Northwestern comes down with covid this week? Is it still the case they declare Ohio St and Northwestern Co-Big Ten Champions?

Iowa beats Indiana and gets a NY6 game, Oklahoma beats ISU and ISU ends up in the Cheez-it bowl.....oh sweet Jesus I hope this happens.

Northwestern earned it, let them go get the snot kicked out of them. Iowa should have taken care of business on the football field and failed to get the job done. I feel like if Iowa played Northwestern 10 times they would win 8 of them, but it's always that one time and Northwestern figures out a way to win.

I know that IU wants to play PU and MN wants to play Wisc. If they honor that the conference could reschedule MD vs MSU. That would leave Iowa to play Michigan, Nebraska to play Rutgers, and Illinois to play Penn State. PSU already played Nebraska so the options for the conference get limited if they allow the rivalry matchups.

My guest Iowa will play Michigan if Michigan has enough players. I have a feeling some teams will have to cancel out.

Give everyone an extra game, Iowa was the only team to play their entire schedule. Plus it's good for TV, I like it and wouldn't mind if they used it again in the future.
I want it, not sure if it is needed other than providing Big Ten partner(Fox) content. If played don't be surprised if some of these games end up on a Friday.

Those look like some fun matchups. I'd worry Iowa would get screwed out of a game as Michigan may not be able to field a team yet.

What’s the point of this mystery 9th week?
With the cancelation of all the non-conf. games, teams were limited to an 8 game schedule. The 9th game was inserted to give everybody an additional game within the conf. 1st place East vs 1st place West; 2nd place East vs 2nd place West etc... was a fair way to schedule the 9th game.

Saw this somewhere and it makes sense to me:

It looks like their first priority was scheduling rivalry games that had been cancelled, so in addition to the OSU-NW championship game they scheduled Indiana-Purdue and Wisconsin-Minnesota. Because one of those games is a West-West game, they needed an East-East game, and that would mean Maryland against MSU or Michigan as the non-rematch options. MSU gets the honor as the last place team.

That left Iowa, Nebraska, and Illinois in the West, and PSU, Michigan, and Rutgers in the East. PSU had already played Iowa and Nebraska, so they get Illinois. Then maybe because Michigan beat Rutgers, they play the higher-seeded Iowa and Rutgers gets Nebraska. Or maybe the Big Ten wanted to balance out the TV viewers and worried that an Iowa-Rutgers matchup wouldn't get enough.

I'm reading now that the Indiana - Purdue game has been cancelled, also due to COVID.
So here's to hoping the B1G changes its mind AGAIN and we have the Iowa - Indiana game on Saturday

Are the Democrats and Republicans running the B1G scheduling now?
