Ok, so does Iowa get Indiana or Michigan?

I am not sure if there is a team that wants to play Iowa, not sure if there are teams healthy enuf to play Iowa.

I hope they can play a game and then get a good bowl
 
I must have missed something, in what scenario would Iowa play Michigan? Next weeks opponent was determined when the Big Ten allowed Ohio State to play in the championship game. It's gonna be Indiana.

There was talk that Indiana may possibly play Purdue for a makeup game and Iowa would get Michigan next Friday at Kinnick.

ok, I did see a mention of making next week a rivalry week.

I'm torn on this. I'd really like to see against Michigan, I don't give a shit if they are down or not. Iowa has only beaten Michigan 15 times in 61 games. But playing Indiana would be fun and give Iowa another game against a ranked opponent.
 
I have a hunch it will be Iowa vs Indiana. The Big Ten is looking for a decent #2 game to market, and Both Iowa and Indiana are looking for an opportunity to boost their ranking.

^^^^This feels like the correct answer. There really isn’t a reason to play them other than fulfilling TV contracts. As much as I want the Iowa season to continue I certainly understand why other schools are tapping out on the season.

I'm not so sure about that, Purdue is a pretty big rivalry game for them. It would be like asking our players if they would prefer Ohio State over Iowa State or Nebraska.
 
Indiana is in 2nd place in the East at 6-1. No one else in the East has a winning record. We are 6-2. We will be playing Indiana, but at home or at their place?
 
Can we play Nebraska again...that would put our streak to seven. LOL.

I have to think Wisconsin and Minnesota play to get the AXE in. I'm not sure what you do with Michigan.

It will be interesting. I think they have to put us with Indiana to solidify the third best team...or the second best. I don't think NW is the second best team in the B10. Iowa is...and I'm not sure it's that close.

If we play Indiana and win...it could be a New Year's six bowl.
