Ok, now that we know IA's offense is not really that close...can Iowa's D keep OSU respectable?

No. OSU is out to make a statement. They've got their one loss, but need to keep running up scores against the bad teams (we are bad) in order to make playoff as well as winning Big10

If we try to play "grind it out, shorten the game ball...they will murder us.

Iowa will need to be damn near perfect, and that might not be enough.

Got them right where we want them!

"Why are you smiling?"

"Because I know something you do not know- Nate Stanley is not right-handed!"

You know that is what Iowa is going to do. I can only think of one time (post 2002-2004 teams) where we opened it up against a blue blood, and that was 2013 OSU game.

Now, we could try that again. But I see us trying to play keep away. I don't see how we stop OSU. Maybe we get lucky like we did against PSU and they just crap themselves inside the 10 yard line....but OSU is a different beast than PSU.

Not necessarily, last year Jim Hairball's team came into that game averaging 1.75 more points per game than the suckeyes are averaging this year. Iowa's defense just makes teams that were high scoring look inept.

Good point....hopefully we can do it again. Though, get a pretty good feeling this going to be a different type of challenge. I think Urban is more lethal when he has the chance.

The game next week is the whole reason Iowa plays the way they do. So they only lose by 3 touchdowns instead of 5.

The big advantage Iowa has is that the suckeyes have trouble covering tight ends, and Iowa is strong at that position. From Marv Cook, to Alen Cross to Jake Duzey, and now Noah Fant. They always come up big.

I am thinking just the opposite. You want to make this a typical KF game. Make it as ugly as possible, you want this game played in a phone booth.

michigan beat people up last year with a traditional offense and one of the best defenses around. Their defense gave their offense the ball.

But traditional offenses don't do well against Iowa's defense (usually). OSU doesn't run an offense like that. They are going to spread us out. What we'll try to do is force them underneath.

I expect a game like 2013, where they just marched up and down the field. the difference this year is we don't have an offense or game plan to do the same
