Transfer U has been getting a lot of production out of Bryce (UNLV/ISU) DeJean. Does Iowa have a player that can neutralize DeJean? Morris, an actual ISU recruit, presents another challenge. Iowa does appear to have big guys that can match up with the Cys big guys. Iowa's weakness is perimeter shooting, 3 for 20 last night against Alcorn. Does Iowa defense the perimeter to force ISU to take shots in the lane? Should Iowa on offense just give up the three point shot attempts and strictly take shots from mid-range on in. Uhtoff, Oleseni, Woodberry and Uhl are better options from 15 feet than any of Iowa's guard from 21 or 18 feet.
It's going to be a good game that comes down to the little things in the last couple of minutes. Whomever makes the big shot, grabs the big rebounds, and knocks down their free throws will likely win it.
I think people are trying to dissect this game as much as possible, and in reality it's just about executing the game plan for each team. ISU won't be able to consistently stop Iowa down low because of their length advantage. Iowa won't be able to consistently shut down ISU's ability to knock down the 3ball.
Personally, I give the edge to ISU because they have executed down the stretch better than Iowa has in recent history. Iowa was able to grind out a nice win against UNC at the end of the game so that gives me hope, but they need to keep doing it in order to prove to me that they've turned the corner.

Who cares, the hawks don't use transfers or the junior college route.I get the whole Transfer U thing, but A) It's worked quite well, and B) 4 of ISU's top 6 guys in minutes and production are recruits out of highschool.
Focus on playing very solid perimeter defense. Make them take shots out of rhythm with pressure and ISU will fold like a cheap tent. But beware, they can score it in the post now with Niang, so our bigs like Gabe and Woody need to have their head in the game on D as well. And if there was a game for Gessell, Jok, JO and Uhtoff to all shoot 40-45% from 3, this would be it.Transfer U has been getting a lot of production out of Bryce (UNLV/ISU) DeJean. Ok - Here how Iowa gotta spank Transfer University by going to Stormin' Spanks' house and drink all his rare beers and come to the game all loosy and all tingly warmed . All of them Hawks will body slam each baskets and shoot free throws and 3's making all of them , by the time the games over. They all has to be carried off the floor because they passed out. Schereff will forgive them on National T.V.Transfer U has been getting a lot of production out of Bryce (UNLV/ISU) DeJean. Does Iowa have a player that can neutralize DeJean? University of Iowa gives Stormin' Spanks free tickets to the game for life.
Wait for one of their best "transfer" players to get arrested...
