OK Cardinal fans...I'll give it to you

Joe Buck is an arrogant POS who is a Cardinal homer living off his daddy's name. I cant stand him or McCarver. This isnt the first time he has used the same call.

Did you get the same lump in your throat after hearing Dolph shout Vin Scully's "I cant believe what I just saw" after the Cap One Bowl? :D

" I don't belive what I just saw" was JACK BUCK.... Not Scully.

Joe Buck is not his dad ,but when he does Cards games on National tv he is very unbiased considering what a die hard fan he is! Bitter Much!

Well one thing is for sure. Since the series went to a game 7, we're going to be definitely reminded by him that this could be Pujols final at bat as a Cardinal at some point.

Most amazing baseball game... ever.

Baseball is so boring in the regular season, but as you get down to the end in a pennant race, and then the playoffs and World Series...it is unbelievable to watch. And I can tell you, if you have a team you root for in a pennant race or the playoffs, there is nothing better.

This game 7 will be a lot of fun to watch.

You can get your foot in the door on your daddy's name, but you stay in the room based on your own merits. He has the top job in his genre for the sport he is in.

And I dont care if he uses the same calls...if they fit the time and place, great. This fit, and was an awesome homage to his deceased father.

Got his foot in the door because of his old man and still using his old man's calls to this day. It would mean more if this was the first time he used that call since it was almost exactly 20 years to the day that Jack Buck called Puckett's homer, but it isnt.

I wonder if the Cards have a huge comeback again tonight if he will bust out "Do you believe in miracles? Yes!!!!"

Most amazing baseball game... ever.

It was very exciting and one of the best games in recent memory but it was a very sloppy game for the most part.

Give me Game 7 of the 1991 World Series (Twins beat Atlanta 1-0 in 10 innings) over that error-fest from last night anytime.

Well said. I had no issue with Joe using the same call last night, I thought it was cool.

Great game last night. Hate the Cards because I'm a Cubbie, but that was amazing.

One thing about the "suspense" of baseball that is different from nearly every other sport is that your opportunities to score are truly limited--you can't get a turnover and have another opportunity to score. In close games in the playoffs, the "scarce resource" of at-bats/innings adds to the drama.

I wouldn't necessarily call them truly limited. I get what you're saying, but at the same time, there's no time limit in baseball. This means theoretically you could keep scoring forever

For the Cards to be down to their final strike not once but twice? Unbelievable. Hope tonight isn't a snoozefest. Freese is amazing(except for that routine infield fly drop. WTF was that?)

I was in Vegas last night. Flight delayed till midnight. so I sat in the sports book room of the Mandalay Bay and watched that game. It was unbelievable (disclaimer, I'm a huge cards fan). Great time to have a delayed flight. BTW, Iowa was on the board as a 14.5 favorite for tomorrow.

Baseball is actually the only sport where your scoring potential is theoretically infinite.

My bro and bro-in-law were 3 rows behind the Cardinals dugout.
