Ohio States Ezekiel Elliot tweets

Just win baby. I have that attitude. Most of Buckeyenation has it as well. There's gonna be some real backlash in Buckeyenation. Maybe, then, Meyer will leave? Besides, what do really know about the fortitude of Meyer?

He was starting to get serious hype for Heisman. If he wins that award, it improves his draft stock and marketability. How much money did this loss potentially cost him?

So although Elliot probably made a bad decision, I won't judge because I'm not sure how cool headed I would be if I were to have lost a couple million dollars.

Let me blow this thread up (I know you think I like to do this kind of thing).
Think of this for a moment: Iowa went 7-6 last season and had better personnel than Iowa's 11-0+ current season. What great thing(s) happened this season compared to last? I think CJ was right. Leadership arrived this season. IMO, leadership not just from a player's perspective but also from a coach's perspective. The players have each other's backs because the coaches have the player's backs.

I'll judge him. He was being a crying little biotch and a terrible teammate. The NFL could give two squirts if a player wins a Heisman or not. Gordon was #2 in the voting and he was drafted behind a RB who played only about 1/2 his games (Gurley).

The best part about this whole situation is when we get to hear from Chris Carter about how he is a young kid and he has personally talked to Zeke and blah, blah, blah. I absolutely cannot stand Chris Carter and his hollier than thou attitude and how he is this great mentor. I am glad we do not have him around our program or any dbags like Cardale and Elliot. It is fun watching the wheels fall off. Go Wolverines!

"Sounds like Ezekiel Elliott is burying his coaches in postgame comments. That's a bad, bad look. Victory has fathers, defeat has orphans."

Exactly, there are a lot of great things about having roster full of 4/5 star recruits, however there are major headaches too. Just look at the mess at Texas AM. Same issue, two diva 5 star QBs crying over the other getting more playing time.

You would never see this crap from CJB, HKC, or Jewell.

Yeah, and you just know CJBs dad wouldn't do an interview talking about "options".

I don't have a problem with him sharing his opinion. I just think his opinion is enlightening. When he hit adversity he turned on his coaches, and wants the F out.

Contrast that with the Iowa players. When Iowa hit adversity last year after the Tennessee game, they all rallied around each other, vowed to get better, broke that rock all offseason and it paid off for them.

I gotta say, it's tempting to think Urbie should sit him. But...if he is doing his job, he calls Zeke in, drops the hint that all that booster cash can be returned or used to reimburse his scholarship blah blah blah.

In short, you tell the kid, "You've blown off the steam. I understand your pain. Now sack up, you've got next week plus a bowl game MINIMUM. Go out like a winner"

It is enlightening and gives a look behind the curtain of the chemistry of this year's Buckeye team. I just thought it was a different take that wasn't necessarily bashing the kid from a credible writer. I personally think even if he feels that way and even has a good argument, you don't say that publicly for the sake of the rest of your teammates not having to be distracted by the noise. I'll be curious to see how they play next week and if Urban benches him for his comments. Not a good move from a team perspective....even if it's true.

I'd use CJF as an example. He never threw anyone under the bus while playing for Iowa. Then in an interview after being drafted, he hints that he didn't like how Davis was using him at Iowa. I'm sure there were times while at Iowa that he wanted to say it, but didn't for the sake of the team.

dean, you have hit the nail on the head again.

My view from a Hawk fan: the more other teams are in chaos internally (especially the blue-bloods) the better for Iowa.

Those running lanes are a whole lot bigger without a safety in the box.

Dude he had 476 ******* yards and 6 TD's in two playoff games against the number one and two teams in the country. You can try to spin it anyway you want but it's not going work. Elliot carried OSU to a title last year. Elliot being able to run the ball was the reason for OSU's offensive success.
