What's the rule on obstruction? Does intent matter, or does it only matter that Middlebrook got in his way or else he would have scored easily?

A. Run much craig? B. I hate the cardinals so i say he's out. Either way the look on his face when he looks up after falling down/sliding at home is priclessssssss #sadface : (
A - if you had a clue you would know he missed a ton of time with high ankle sprain and came back early for the WS.
B - Doesn't matter if you like or not. There was obstruction on the play so he was safe. Intent doesn't matter at all in this case.

Both (NFL and World Series) games in St Louis tonight. Ratings will be interesting again.

The really interesting night for WS ratings will be Thursday. If there's a game 7 that night, it will be competing with Halloween, 4 college football games, an NFL game, 2 NBA games, and 3 NHL games.
Are you nuts!!! If a fielder has the ball in their glove there is no obstruction as they can block the bag or plate.

Agreed. I think it is interesting that the WS used to start on Tuesday so Monday was avoided, but now it starts on Wednesday and includes a Monday if it gets to Game 5. And, as you stated, Thursday gets brought into play as well.
