Why not take a timeout?

With 3rd and 13 there and the wind, Illinois still had a way higher chance of scoring than Iowa did. You can't call a timeout if the other team still has an advantage.

All they had to do was pick up a 3rd and 13, maybe get a few more yards, and make a long field goal with the wind. We would have to stop a 3rd and 13, drive a good 50 yards in under a minute, and make a long field goal into the wind. It wasn't even a decision there to not let time run out.
