yeah, we lost. we lost to a good team coached by a hawkeye.
eveyone is freaking out blaming someone. its football, mistakes happen. atleast we didnt get blown out.
losing sucks, i hate losing more than i like winning.
BUT....
I don't think the sky is falling. we'll learn a lot from this and have a great rest of the season.
if you think the sky is not falling.
this is your thread to post in....
 
Amen. The team will learn from this, clean up the mistakes, and totally focus on getting to the Rose Bowl. Yeah, it sucks, but the season is not totally lost.
 
I definitely agree with you. Losing truly does suck, big time, but this team still can, and I believe will, be very good and could have a special season.

All that was lost tonight was a chance to win the National Championship, which is something 99% of all teams will eventually do as well.

We can still win the Big Ten.
We can still go to a BCS Bowl.
We can still go to the ROSE BOWL!

Who doesn't think that KF and his assistant will not make a lot of hay out of this loss and the team will not improve because of it. KF's teams always improve with time anyway.

It was our first roadie and our first good opponent. Our faults were bound to be exposed.

They still fought back and made a game of it and had the chance to win it in the 4th quarter.

I'm disappointed, as always, with the loss, but still proud of my team and optimistic about their future.
 
We are going to have a good year. We played pretty well considering the circumstance. Kirk is going to kick some special team ***. If you notice, the Special teams played better in the 2nd half.

Couldn't have said it better. We can still win the BigTen and we can still go to the Ros Bowl
 
I have trouble being positive. Ferentz was really focused on keeping our team from seeming under prepared then we did last time we went out west. But everything lined up in order to make sure we lost this one. Poor oline play, pick six not on the fault of ricky, and uncharacteristic of iowa with given up blocked punt.


I just think Kirk put a whole lot of himself into this last week to avoid just these things. Yet they still happened. For him, and for Clayborne. I feel terrible. Yes, losing to OSU, Penn st, or Northwestern would suck. But it just seemed like we had a lot to prove this year. With a lot of spot light on use.


I'm dissappointed. We stand for more then what was show cased tonight, regardless of the underling postives.
