Lots of blame to go around. How many guys lost 17 and 18 to lose the match, was it 3? Then Stricker goes in tied, and loses it. Unbelievable really, as we usually do well in the individual matches.

I blame the Ryder Cup loss on the lack of emotion displayed by Kurt Ferrets.

i'm a big golf fan, play about 60 rounds a year (until of course, my wife has our twins!! yikes) AND i am really ******. it's an individual sport with ONE team event that really matters... I like a few of the Euro's but this was not the best US team they could have put together, and that bothers me.... I like Jimmy and Stricker, but they were playing average at best for the last few months and had no business there. A lot of guys choked and Tiger didn't play great (but deserved to be there this year). Damn it.

I was gonna say because of Davis Love's lack of emotion....but the more I think about it, you are probably right blaming KF

davis love is a pompous pr!ck, always has been, always will be
poor little rich boy that has never worked a day in his life

I was busy with family functions all day Sunday, but talked to a guy about Ryder cup. We both agreed it would take a major collapse for US to lose it.

Jason Dufner is quickly becoming one of my favorite golfers. As far as the train wreck, don't even get me started.

Dufner is one of my top 2 or 3 favorite golfers right now. The pairing of him and Zach was awesome. Got to see a lot of them on Wednesday at the practice round. I like those two and Dustin Johnson.
I think Davis Love made a mistake with his captain's picks of Stricker and Furyk. Especially Stricker. Stricker does one thing well, he does it really well (Usually), and that is putt. I didn't see the guy hit a putt all week. I think Love would have been better served picking up two younger guys to play this year and bring a little more excitement to the group. Look who played well for the US. It was mostly the younger guys, Keegan, Dufner (Not physically young, but tour/expirience wise pretty young), Zach, Dustin Johnson, Bubba, Webb, etc.
Phil played surprisingly well until he choked the last two holes down his leg. Tiger I think played OK, he would have won that last match had it mattered, and he played 3 rounds with Stricker, who in my opinion played god awful.

You are wrong on Tiger, the announcers said he played terrible on the Friday AM alternate ball format and he played like crap Sunday against Molinari. He had one birdie binge on the back nine all day.

Phil didnt choke, he almost chipped in on 17 which would have secured at least at least tie but how can you help it if Rose bombs in a 35 footer traveling fast on 17. Yeah Phil screwed up 18 but as they all did by not staying below the hole on 18.

You are right that Love III should have picked a couple of younger guys over furyk and stricker who are both really good pros but not having the best years. I think younger players dont have the crush of having to win it now like the old guys do.

Hey lee westwood played like crap but got hot one match.
