***OFFICIAL PREDICT THE REST OF THE SEASON THREAD***

Not trying to harp on anybody's individual picks, but I don't feel like our three good wins are going to translate into eight or nine more as easily as a lot of people seem to think they will. Not saying they can't go on a 9-3 run to end the year (I don't see a game left they can't win, actually), but in all probability, the Hawks will have some off nights, run into some hot teams, and just not match up well in others (Indiana and Illinois, mainly).

@Purdue- L
Nebraska- W
@Indiana- L
Minnesota- W
Penn State- W
@Northwestern- L
@ Penn State- L
Indiana- L
Wisconsin- L
@Illinois- L
@Nebraska- W
Northwestern- W

I think that comes out to 5-7 the rest of the way, so 16-15 (8-10 in conf.) heading to the conference tourney. I think they can do better, and we have seen them do worse. All said, I would take any winning record.

Not sure if I understand this post. We're 3-3 in the toughest part of our schedule and you think we go 3 and 9 the rest of the way. Your logic is flawed and leads us to believe you don't think we are even decent.

Turn your sarcasm detector on! I even gave you extra clues with those other bogus predictions.

I have stopped predicting Iowa to do good ever since I thought the 2010 football team had a shot at winning the Big Ten. So I keep my expectations low so that way if I am wrong I am happy.

@ Purdue W pay back as i doubt Bird will come off the bench to tourch Iowa again
Nebraska W
@ Indiana L
Minnesota W this one is at home
Penn State W
@ Northwestern L always tough at home against Iowa
@ Penn State W lost to much from last year
Indiana W they are improved but not enough to sweep
Wisconsin W 1st sweep is in sight
@Illinois L
@Nebraska W at the beginning of BT play i called this a push
Northwestern W Senior night full house and i doubt the go nuts on 3's

a 9-3 finish is very doable to finish the BT at 12-6 and in the dance; they get the majority of the bottum half of the league to finish the season
and other than Illinois the top teams we have already played once and will not face them until the BT tourney

I think the worst case scenario is 5 more wins (8-10), the best case scenario being 9 more wins (12-6). I'll split the difference and predict 7 more wins (10-8; 18-13).

More specifically, I say we'll go 5-1 or 4-2 in the remaining games with Northwestern, Nebraska and Penn State. And 3-3 or 2-4 in the remaining games with Purdue, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Indiana and Illinois. In that second set, I'll say 2 of the 2-3 wins will come in the home games against Minnesota, Wisconsin and Indiana.
