Less than nine hours to tip-off but still enough time to get this thread going. Who ya got?

Much as I'd love the Hawks to steal one on the road against Bucky, I'm not seeing how. Emotional game Saturday night; can the team re-focus in a matter of 48 hours on getting the running game going, stopping Ohio State's guard play, and can Woody/McCabe/Olaseni control the paint? Tough task, IMHO.

I think Iowa loses by 10 points. Then we all meet back here and discuss how much Woodbury sucks.

Agree.....tOSU by 12-15.

I just don't get the sense Iowa does well with "athletic" (versus pound it down low) type of teams.

Emotional win for Iowa on Saturday and a tough loss for OSU. Game is @ OSU. This all spells disaster. However, I think Iowa pulls it out remembering the beat down OSU gave last year. Iowa has to try to shut down D. Thomas and go at him when on offense to try to get him in foul trouble. I'd take a couple ugly possessions if it means trying to get him to foul. 61-56 Iowa. Marble steps up and JO hits a couple big 3's.
 
Ohio St seems to have our number (8-1 against us in the last 5 years, 3 of those wins by 30 pts). I'd say the game will be somewhat like the Michigan game: close in the first half, perhaps with a Hawkeye lead at half, then State dominates the second half and wins by a comfortable margin.
 
I think Ohio State wins by 10 or less. However, I've thought since December that this is Iowa's best chance to pull off a road win against a ranked conference team. If they play the type of defense they showed against Wisconsin in the first half they could get it done, but it would have to be for the full 40 minutes.
 
It's gonna be a tough one. I'd like to think Iowa can keep it close, but I really don't think it'll happen. Bucks by 10-15.
 
For NCAA resume, we really need a signature win and this would be a good one. But alas, I'm not feelin' it.:mad:

Plus, I must dance for the man tonight and cannot watch game. May catch snippets on the radio if not busy.

This isnt really the definition of a letdown game to me. Not against a Top 15 team.

A letdown game would be Sunday at Purdue if the Hawks win tonight.

so many things going against us. letdown game following big win, team that just beat a team that blew us out, away game, bad match-up, etc...

OSU 72 - Iowa 60

this one could get ugly unless we have someone who can hit shots from the outside. looking at you JO.
 
It's winnable, but only if they can get Thomas in foul trouble. They struggle to score outside of him.
