after this, I wonder if the team will give up? Remember Purdue last year? I have a bad feeling the N'western game next week will be just like that game6-6, it’s coming.

I have tickets and will be there. I won't be eating pumpkin pie, but pounding beers insteadNebraska will obliterate is. Not because they’re better (they are one of the few teams in the country less talented than us) but because they know they can beat us and the new coach will really want to end the year on a high.
You will be slicing the Pumpkin Pie watching Iowa lose by 4 TDs that day.

I am terrified and sickened that you may be right about this.Nebraska will obliterate is. Not because they’re better (they are one of the few teams in the country less talented than us) but because they know they can beat us and the new coach will really want to end the year on a high.

Calling a hold on a center is like seeing a needle in a haystack. The mass of humanity at the center of the line is why you almost never see this called. It's pretty much hand to hand combat. Most holds are called on pass plays (which this was not) or plays which are more observable. Really rough call considering Iowa was starting to get some momentum in the running game. Then add the second holding call in consecutive plays and it makes it hard to forget all that internet betting money that's so hard to trace floating around out there.Think of where the ref is at that threw the flag. All he can see is the backs of the players. So yeah, he’s not going to see the arm hold.
Ya, I fear any team with a half-way clutch QB against Iowa. We always play conservative in game-ending situations and usually allow a good QB to work his team into a V-formation. When was the last time we really had a QB that did this? Honestly, I have to go back to Long as one of the only Iowa QB's in my lifetime that had the knack to consistently do the 2-minute drill. That said Nate did enough to win this game. Giving up 1 or 5 play scoring drives has never been the foundation for Hawkeye victories.I have a bad feeling the NW game will be a carbon copy of what just happened with Purdue. NW has a clutch drive at the end to seal it.
