***OFFICIAL IOWA VS SPARTY PREDICTION THREAD***

Iowa wins 17-13.

Weisman gains 112 yards and has 2 TD's.

MSU defense scores a touchdown and Iowa picks off one of the 4 MSU QB's around midfield to seal it with under a minute left.

13-6 Iowa on a cold, windy, rainy day. Neither team will have much luck moving the ball because of stellar defense and weather. Special teams will be the difference.
At the final second, AIRBHG will appear on a cloud and declare that his reign has ended.

Why in the **** would you say this?

Am I allowed to change my prediction because now Weisman will more than likely get injured in the 1st quarter.

Due to the weather report, I am going to say Iowa 24 MSU 10. Weisman ends up with just over 100 yards. I wouldn't be surprised if MSU's only score is on defense.

Iowa 20
MSU 10

Weisman 120 yards
Rudock 200 yards 1 TD and one Int

Iowas defense forces 3 turnovers.

Ridiculous that before the Goofers game, MN was going to be a great matchup for the Hawks, and most in the media picked MN to win. Afterwards, because we walloped them, it's that Minnesota was just overrated. I truly believe Iowa is VERY underrated this year.

Prediction: The Bye week hurts MSU as they've had "make up for being beat in our house last year" shoved down their throats more than usually would, and they come in too desperate. After bringing the pig back home, Kinnick is rocking like the good days, and Hawks win 38-14.

I don't think this will be as close and low scoring as some people think. Roodock carves them up by hitting receivers all over the field. Hawks win. No score projection

It's October, trends established against September cup-cakes give way to the realities of big-boy football. Iowa demonstrated this against Minny's rushing attack on it's home field, during Homecoming. That's some pretty solid evidence. Due to the bye, MSU has yet to prove itself.

It will be chilly, wet and wild, not to mention, Homecoming in Kinnick. While a close game, expect the unexpected ...

-- Weisman and (FINALLY!) Daniels, combine for 225 yards -- 80 in the 4th, alone -- as Sparty is beaten down and gives up.
-- Ruddock keeps his rushing TD streak alive.
-- Powell has a big day against an overly aggressive Sparty.

Hawks win 30-24. Both score 3 TD's but Meyer's 3 FG (Sparty misses 2) are the difference.

MSUs defense hasn't faced a good team yet. ND is highly overrated. Don't get me wrong they have a very good D but not any better than last year and Iowa beat them last year on the road with a much worse offense and not as good of defense as they have this year. The best run game they have faced is ND and they aren't that good I think they only average about 130 or so a game on the ground.
