Gabe is effective on defense because he's long and athletic. He knows how to use those traits. However, he gets lost so many times on defense. If you just watch him in the zone he looks a little tentative. But, he plays a very important role in the zone and he hasn't played basketball long. What he does is very impressive considering that fact.
