!*****Official Hawks Visit Sparta Looking For A Rebound Against The Rebounding Dantonio Kids*****!

Let's think about this....
We hire an excellent OC from a championship program with zero OL coaching experience to coach the OL and we hire a pretty decent if not excellent OL coach with zero OC experience to be the OC. #TheIowaWay
I'm torn on this- can't decide if the proper reply is "we just have to execute better" or the standard "that's football"

ORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.......with 9 defenders running towards AW, we use his as a decoy and throw it backside where we have 3 or 4 on 2. Hmmmm.....someone might even be wide open.

No disagreement there, but if we are going to run on first down, we need to quit going backwards. I would not complain if we went shotgun the whole second half and passed every play so we can get Stanley and the offense dialed in. That would be more fun to watch than what we just saw in the first half.

More guys are coming down hill than they can block, and Wadley isn't helping by constantly waiting for the back cut to open up. If 8 or 9 are coming down hill, we need a horse in there that hits the hole fast and heads straight down hill before all 8 or 9 guys can flow to the RB.
Plus, Welsh has run by #38 twice and just put his arm out at the last second before #38 tackles Wadley. Block at least one guy would be ok.

ok....look, we need to use ISM instead of NE and MVB in those screens. Nothing against them but they don't have wiggle or speed like ISM. We need to have IKM and AW in the backfield the same time the rest of the game. We HAVE to make Sputum not be able to key on AW. I mean, they don't give a ch*t about anything else. They're just running to AW on every freaking play.

8-9 in a box is nothing new. If Wadley isn't going to hit the hole, Young or IKM have shown they do. Better yet, leave Wadley in and draws, counters, misdirection, motion to flat ...

Yeah and I would expect to continue to see 8-9 in the box until we prove we can really hurt teams through the air. Still waiting...

at some point you have to say to yourself: "self, i need a new stick of gum."

I wish Ferentz would show the kind of emotion the Dantonio does. Now THAT'S a coach!!!
