Why...the F....are you fair catching the ball at the 5?

I think anywhere around the 5 yard line, the PR needs to call fair catch to make the defenders give space. Then clear the area at the last second so the ball has a chance to go into the end zone for a touchback. The worst that could happen is they make a play and down the ball and you lose a couple of yards max.
