Purdue should have had 100 yards in penalties if the cheatin fucking refs weren't getting paid off to not call Purdue's blatant holding all fucking game. Fucking cheating bastards.

One thing about the penalties, almost no calls on Purdue whose line was holding on almost every play, and hardly any calls on their defensive backs who did the same. Don't understand what the refs are looking at sometimes. For most of the game our D-line was dragging a fully attached lineman stuck to their backs. Very MSU like. But Iowa lost the game, out coached and turnovers.

I get the frustration. Just let it breathe for a minute. Can we wait to see how this season plays out first?
 
I do think the defense is in for a long year. Not much pressure and one thing I'll never understand with Iowa....rush 4 the rest drop back for coverage and wide open uncontested catches still happen. They need three yards and we're playing 10 yards off. It's like prevent defense for an entire game.....

It’ll get better, defenders in zone were just making the wrong decision too often. Film and experience will solve it.

Is this a Nebraska forum? KF is a long term coach. If that happened...then why?

Iowa can focus on their penalties. Several dumb ones and a late fumble are the issues, not refs.

Which ones were dumb? The bogus blindside block? The non-existent facemask? The holding all game by Purdue that wasn't called?

We collectively (forum) have this argument on holding a lot. Refs don't have it out for Iowa. If there is an issue it has to do with techniques and it's up to the coach in the game to figure that out.

Yes, Iowa shot themselves in the foot several times. Refs are most always going to protect QBs regardless of which black and gold they are wearing.

The bottom line is that Iowa did not go man up with maybe the best receiver in the Big on the TD.

That type of an outbreak is about all you will see this season. Not likely to see an outbreak on offense.

Last season ended on a positive note. For that to continue we really needed this game against Purdue and we pissed down our leg against a walk-on quarterback.

Groundhog Day or should I say groundhog season with Captain Kirk leading the way. 2015 was a joke schedule the only real team we beat was Wisconsin with several Of their key players out with injuries. Even then it took a fluke fumble at the end of the game to save Kirk’s azz.

So that’s our big season where we didn’t even play ANY of the better teams until we met up with MSU. Michigan was by far they best team in the conference in 2015 and a major screw up by their punter let MSU into the championship game.

Corona virus don’t stand up to Kirk virus. Kirk virus causes delirium among the fan base followed by seasons with nauseating defeats, Kirk fatigue, and Death Star destruction to west title hopes.

Rinse and repeat every effing season. Remember to wash your hands and always social distancing between the second and first place teams in the West.
