Whoever gets it, will have to be guareenteed enough time to weed out the veterans on the defense. They're ******, and will be hard for any coach to replace Lovie in their minds.
Bears could very well end up with Rashard Mendenhall..........as a Steeler fan I say good luck with that.
Who ya cheering for tomorrow night? Packers or Vikings?
SKOL!!!!!
Good coordinator, but I don't know I'd consider him an upgrade over Lovie for the Bears head position. No new head coach is going to make a difference unless that line gets a lot better and you have to keep the defense stout so you can win slugfests at home and at Lambeau in December and January. I get that they have to hire an offensive guy after firing a defensive guy, but Ditka and Lovie were two of the most loved guys in Chicago and the fans don't want to see some newfangled offense that requires perfect weather conditions to run. What are your thoughts, bws?

Some of the best defenses the Bears have ever had were wasted under Lovie. Perhaps he can get it right this time with the Bucs by hiring a decent OC and then keeping his nose out of it.
They also re-signed Jennings and Slauson. I am happier about both those signings than I am about giving Cutler seven more years.
