This has settled into a 4 person race after the first 4-6 holes. Tiger not making a move and cant get his putts to the hole which I didnt think was his kind of problem.

This has settled into a 4 person race after the first 4-6 holes. Tiger not making a move and cant get his putts to the hole which I didnt think was his kind of problem.
I heard mainly from the last group. Cabrera is looking tough.
Man all of a sudden you cant count out Tiger. If he birdies 16 to go to -6 and the others falter, look out.
Cabrera bogeying 13 just let a bunch of people in the picture.
Day got a great break on a bad drive, but that is golf

First two rounds his putting was solid, right up until he hit the pin on 15. Then it seemed to fall apart. I can't imagine how much that would take out of you mentally. He had a chance to go into the lead and instead ends up at -1 because of it.
Oh Tiger hitting the flagstick and losign that chance hurt but the two stoke penalty was huge. Yesterday tiger started out good then faltered. You may be right that tiger lost some giddy up after that.
I do sort of know what those things can do as I remember back to an 18 hole junior match play match I had where I was 3 up after 7 holes, had a 20 foot birdie putt uphill on 8th green, my opponent was jailed right of the green with an almost impossible downhill chip, that he then sunk for birdie, I two putted for par and was stunned.
I played ok the rest of the round but he went crazy the rest of the way and beat me by a hole or two.

Basically 1 inch cost him 4 strokes. -9 would be sitting pretty good right now.
You cant go back and take off a couple of strokes for tiger not hitting the stick. He hit the flag stick and it went into the water, that is a fact, heck every player playing there in the top 15 have a whole bunch of shots and mental brain farts that cost them lots of strokes.
Cabrera is kicking himself in the arse for going +1 on 13 and 15 today when he should be -2 on those holes. that alone puts him at -10 .
Not sure why tiger isnt hitting putts two feet past the cup with a little less break but he might have sunk about 8 more putts the past two days with a little more pace.
I can still easily see tiger shooting -15 or -16 at the masters in his career if he puts it all together

I know, just saying how it literally is a game of inches. In his case 1 inch cost 4 strokes. If he makes 4 there instead of 8, we are talking about Tiger being the best frontrunner ever all weekend and he wins going away.
