Part of the formula for setting betting lines is to predict how the public will wager. That Nebraska is that high says the public is viewing things with its collective head up its ass and it also factors in the Huskers delusional fanbase.
What do you mean perhaps??There's a sucker born every minute...right? Perhaps more frequently in Omaha.

Based on this, Vegas "expects" us to finish 4th in the division. I think that's absolute worse case scenario.
The West is going to come down to who can win the road game between Iowa, Wisky, and Minnesota. Each plays one road and one home against the other. If we can beat Minny on the road, I think we win the West. If we can't beat Minn on the road, then it's going to come down to Minn v Wisky and that one's in Madison.
Husker Du has a better chance at reuniting than Husker Corn has at winning the B1G.Part of the formula for setting betting lines is to predict how the public will wager. I feel like one of these pops up like every other week. Anyway, here's another one.
While I think Nebbie and its fans are overrated windbags, Vegas looks at patterns. Let's face it, if KF has demonstrated one thing, is that he is consistently above average, but does not quite good enough to win the conference. He has tied prior to the championship game, and came very close to winning it once (I was there, crying in my tequila all night in Indy).
Nebbie remains a (tainted) brand in college football with a ton of a resources and a rabid fan base. Frost has had two good recruiting classes. Frost has been part of championship teams as a player, and at UNI, Oregon and as a head coach at UCF. While I hate to admit it, if you had to bet your entire retirement on who was most likely to win the conference title first, Iowa or Nebbie, are you betting your life savings on KF finally breaking through after 20 years? If so, I love those gold colored glasses.
In conclusion, I hate Nebraska and think Memorial Stadium is a cow pasture filled with cud chewing d-bags.
I think Northwestern and Purdue have a say in who wins the West. Not that either one of them will, but they both will be improved and dangerous. I think they pull at least a few upsets.
