Oddly, things maybe looking a little brighter for Iowa next year?

I have a friend who ruptured his achilles, and trust me, Persa will never be the same as he was before the injury.

That varies from person to person. Some people come back from ACL tears the same as they were before, some don't. Persa may or may not be the same. We'll just have to wait and see.

I understand, but Wisconsin's missed FG was all on them. If Gabbert just throws it away we probably don't score again.

Ok I will add this then in the Wisconsin game what if they had been paying attention to the clock at the end of the first half and used some timeouts to try and score a td instead of kicking a field goal? Add to that the missed field goal and who knows maybe Wisconsin wins that game. The thing you're missing is that you don't know that we wouldn't have scored had he thrown that ball away.

Actually, I think the thing that HawkI101 is really missing is that Gabbart's pick was returned 72 yards for a touchdown, one sideline to another, with the entire team blocking and Hyde eluding 5-6 guys within a yard or two of him. That was not "one bad play" by Gabbart, as he put it. It was a bad play by Gabbart and an amazing return that we likely would not have won the game without. Do you really think Iowa would've scored a touchdown had Hyde been tackled right where he picked off the ball?

I don't know which game HawkI101 was watching, but that was one of the best defensive plays I've ever seen an Iowa player make. The interception was a gift, but the return was brilliant and a complete game changer.
