Iowa may be get in, but they are not an NCAA Tournament team at this point. They aren't even an NIT team, in fact.

No. Resume or not, this team is dead. Done. No legs. No energy. Hard to watch. Even if we are in the tourney, I have zero excitement and that is sad. We will be the easiest W for some lucky team in the first round.
That and Fran for whatever reason was unable to fix defensive mistakes for the last 3 weeks. Same errors being made in the first 2 minutes tonight as the last three weeks.
FWIW, Minnesota has an identical profile for the NCAA as us.

NO........only NIT invite and they will lose in the first round there. This team has packed it in. There are serious problems with this team.

I feel 100% the same way. Iowa is going to (I guess?) be in the dance for the first time since '06.. And I'm not even excited now, because I expect the team to be gone after one game. In fact, they could possibly even be in one of the play-in games and not even see the "real" tournament.
Interesting. If I ever called all the players on the Iowa basketball team "losers", I might worry about begin banned or something. Must be nice.

I wouldn't pick us...but your assertion of "far more deserving teams" cements your position in the "Should only post Off Topic...Keep Away from Actual Knowledge About Sporting Events" realm.
Talent-wise and in terms of best 68 teams, no question we would belong. But the committee would be doing the program a favor to dump us and tell the program, "Fran is a turnaround guy, not a take-it-to-the-next-level" guy. He's a step above Alford, for certain, but he is not in the league of Tom Davis or Lute Olson. He is Raveling level in coaching, Davis or Alford (of those who got to campus) for recruiting.
We owe him a huge thanks for the turnaround. But basically, we are, in the last three years...
--2012: "Edge" of NIT, got some nice advance before Oregon took us to the 'shed
--2013: "Almost" NCAA, with a nice NIT run, with a beatdown in the final, to a senior-laden team that could do some damage for a round or two in this year's NCAA
--2014: A "hot" team" that went "Alford" down the stretch...

Agree that her language was a bit rough... But she does describe the angst hawk fans are going through these days. :-(
I am happy the first high school baseball games in St. Louis begin this Saturday with the St. Louis Cardinals soon to follow. This way I don't have to force myself to watch this slow motion train wreck any longer.
To put it mildly it is hard to watch this team even if they are the Iowa Hawks. The past 3 or so weeks they've single handedly made basketball no fun to watch.
Good luck if they make the NCAA. They will need a lot of it.
My best to the coach and his family though. That's the most important thing for me at this time.
