Has anyone heard any updates on Vandevelde/Gettis other than that they thought they'd go on Tuesday? It seems that more often than not, when players are questionable we don't seem them for a week.

Gettis was on the sidelines in pads at the end of the MSU game. Not a definite but usually a good sign that his injury was nothing serious. Vandervelde got hit in the balls. He should be fine for Saturday. FWIW, Kirk has recently said taht outside of Nielsen, everybody has "a pretty good shot" of playing Saturday. I'd be shocked if we saw ARob though.

I'd heard that too about Julian, but on TOS someone mentioned a hip strain or something like that?

Josh Koeppel is starting for Gettis at guard Saturday. This is his first start as a Hawkeye, and as a senior lets hope he plays with a chip on his shoulder and helps crush the Hoosiers!
