Now that Steve F is ahead of Daniels

Is he the next talent to leave the program. The only way he's going to see the field is if all the Ferrets get fired

Yeah, really dumb. There is nothing to ***** about regarding the center position, but thanks for trying.

That said, I thought Ferentz held his own against the twos and threes. Daniels has huge potential. Blythe is the clear starter, but could play guard if needed again. Concerned about Welsh's situation, because Simmons may not be the best option. I could see Daniels at center and moving Blythe out to left guard.

kfootball did make is sound like Welsh will be back, though he didn't give a timeline. Couldn't Daniels play guard? Blythe is so good at C (in my opinion) that moving him to G and having Daniels play C sort of makes you weaker at 2 positions instead of just 1.

Yeah, I get what you are saying. I just think you want to stay away from getting too stubborn about position at the expense of having your best 5 on the field.

Eric Simmons, Steve Ferentz, James Daniels all mixing it up in the trenches, hoping for some
PT this fall, or maybe next.

Iowa has an EXTREMELY STRONG history of producing quality offensive Linemen.
With these guys doing the work now and the EXCELLENT load of recruits coming in at
Offensive line, this fall...........that bodes quite well for
HAWKEYE football.

At the scrimmage Saturday i stopped Eddie P. As he was leaving and the first player he mentioned was Daniels. Said he was a mountain of a man... Who doesn't love Eddie pod

Yep, no doubt there is reason to panic that a guy who has been on campus less than 1 semester and had a dozen or so practices isn't running with the 1's in a Spring practice/scrimmage. Probably best to burn the whole thing down.

Haven't you heard, offensive line is going to be awful....Spring Practice proved it.
