Now it is time for a big NIT run

This is setting up like a few years ago where a young hawk team went to the NIT Final game. After that they went dancing 3 straight years. I hope the players get their chins up and are determined to make an impact. They should have 2 or 3 home games if they keep winning. I had a blast at that NIT game against Stony Brook a few years ago and the crowd was great.

I hope Jok plays loose on offense and better on defense, Bohannon and Moss along with Baer and Ellingson can get their shot back, need to get Cook going and staying out of foul trouble.

I see this team making a run in the NIT too. In the NIT you don't play under the bright lights and we will likely get at least a first round game at home no matter how they seed us.

The big picture lies in where do we go from here which has become a recurring question with Fran's teams regardless of personnel. The last group with two very solid players in Gesell and Woodbury did win a couple games in the NCAA tournament but never made it to the second weekend nor did anything in the BTT. We've become a very solid middle of the road team under Fran. Whether he can take us any further with a more talented core seems an open question.

Well put and I think many on here have said Fran needs to get a dynamic point guard. If he could get someone who is 80% of a Trey Burke, I think his name is, the other players would just light things up I think. I am not dissing on Bohannon who would move to the 2 guard spot and who could rotate out and back in as the backup point guard. I am also hoping C Williams can get the point where he is solid at breaking down a defense as I do like the way he can finish at the rim.

Let's win the whole damn thing and prove we are the 70th best team in the nation.
