On the pass in the endzone to Cooper, he mistimed his jump so badly that he had time to land and jump again.

I don't know about KF, but I know it occurred to me that Fant might have given them a better chance in that situation...

If you have 2 players as good as Fant and Hockenson, then both of them should be on the field together. Split Fant out, as he is faster and bigger than all of our receivers except smith-marsette, and play Hockenson at TE. Its a crazy concept to these coaches, but it is okay to get your playmakers on the field together and use them as much as possible.

It’s ok to come out and admit KF is a favorite-playing lame brain.

There’s zero evidence to the contrary other than his completely ridiculous explanations for not playing Fant.

With Eno, he told White and Kennedy he was taking visits and they told him to keep it from Kirk. So, the kid did what he was supposed to do. The adults did not.

So we punished the kid and lost our recruiting class lynchpin because of it? Makes perfect sense to me.

He runs great routes (Nate's words)
He catches almost anything thrown his way.
Plus he himself said at the beginning of the year he was really focused on his blocking.
Is Fant good? Sure, but maybe TJ is more complete and refined and not a "specialist".
Which explains the playing time.

Remember everyone has said Iowa has 2 of the best TE's in the country. Who's to say TJ isn't the better one?

Isn't that what we have been asking for? Isn't that part of the new philosophy in the program? Best player plays regardless if they are younger or not.

You people talk in circles.
So Nate has better measurables and TD's but everyone calls for him to be benched?
I admit giving IKM as much pt as we have when the other two are clearly doing better is perplexing.
But you have to figure that Fant is a TE, not a wr.
He doesn't know those routes and rumor has it TJ runs excellent routes. The passing game is all about timing. So taking a te and playing him as a wr isn't as easy as that.
I'm not saying TJ is better, I'm saying it is possible.
It's possible they are running one te sets to use more wr's (we have seen a lot of them play and be targeted) to spread the defense out. In which case...... you want your single te in that formation to...........block. Why? Because we can't run the dam ball!!!! Shit fire!!!!
I know y'all think "just put him in as a wr", but that's easier said than done. Why not make our fb a rb? Our running back a full back? They are pretty much the same thing, right??
