Thx, Rob. I think Brian will be the eye in the sky and Ken will be down on the field.
That's what I'm thinking also. With his size, wingspan and athleticism he's ahead of Scherff at this point in his career. Would love to see him develop Kallenberger's nasty streak, or better yet, Yanda-like nastiness. If I had to guess right now, Wirfs won't be here as a 5th year senior anyway. Does that look like a kid that won't be a 3rd round pick or better in 3 or 4 years?
But I thought KF was just a fat cat collecting a paycheck and doesn't care if they win......He's still making a lot of money, but it's pretty cool that Kirk volunteered to take a pay cut to hire more staff.
It's a lil different now that he wants to assure his own son's success, which is great for us fans. I have a feeling Brian will be more apt to staying on the gas pedal. But I thought KF was just a fat cat collecting a paycheck and doesn't care if they win......
Great move to make this team stronger. Special Teams play can win or lose a game.
Kallenberger had a nice camp. It will be interesting to see where he fits in moving forward beyond this year. He will play. It's just a matter of where.
I think that makes sense at. When it comes to calling plays I would think being down on the field would be tougher to do. Being upstairs on headphones he can have a better view of play clock and over all field. Without as much distraction around him. He'll want to get in a rhythm of at whatever point on the clock it is to get that play to QB so he can be at the line prior to 12 seconds or so. 10 seconds and under will have the QB rushing and doesn't give him much time to make any checks...Thanks for reading. Agree. Polasek also was an OC last year. Let he and KOK handle the field level stuff and work from upstairs.

All I was saying is that there's a little more incentive, especially for the offense to come out with a bang. Yes, I understand that he cashes checks, well not really, I'm sure he has direct deposit. But never needed to assure his own success in the past - just cash checks. Or wait, he HAD success and then cash checks, but before, he didn't care because his kid wasn't OC. Now he DOES care and still cashes checks, but also decided that he can spend some of his own money to help because it matters now where it didn't before.

No worries, I just get a sense that KF is a little more motivated since BF became the OC. Maybe Brian is just having that effect on him (back to that ole Brian's the only one that can get him to change thought)... Either way, I'm really excited to see what Brian can do. That being said, if we end up only winning 5 or 6 games, I'll probably go into an irreversible state of depression.haha... yeah man...I was just messing more than anything. It's natural for him to want this to succeed for Brian's sake. But really, Brian is gonna be "ok" financially and professionally either way this goes.
I'm thinking there is no way Kirk cashes checks.
I bet he gets paid in those huge 8' wide checks they hand out to the golfers who win the tournament. All I was saying is that there's a little more incentive, especially for the offense to come out with a bang. Yes, I understand that he cashes checks, well not really, I'm sure he has direct deposit.
