Mention was made that Tanner Miller was one of the players affected. In fact he was in the hospital but he was have some minor arthroscopic work done on a shoulder. I believe it came from a tweet or whatever website source that he made stating "It sucks to be in the hospital".

The Iowa football program is clearly not providing enough calcium to their players... shame on them.

This doesn't deserve its own thread, but I was wondering if we have any guesses who this is...

"A key returning starter was among the hospitalized, the source said."

Source: Iowa Hawkeyes players can't return until blood tests normal - ESPN

And also, who have we confirmed were some players in the hospital?

I'm assuming Prater. I think somebody posted that a CR TV station reported he was one. Also I think Bernstine was among the group that got released in the first round.

Jim Poggi, Shane DiBone, Willie Lowe, Tom Donatell, and Bernstine have been reported by media. I have heard from friends around IC that two of them were former Regina players, so that must be Jake Reisen and walk-on Marcus Kloos as they are the only two on the roster.

Carl Davis was another that I saw mentioned.

Do you know whether this would drop the number back to 12 or is it solid there were 13 with the rhabado or whatever?

The UI said themselves that there were 13 rhabdo patients. I seriously doubt that they would have confused the medical diagnosis of one of their own players, but as incompetent as they have looked lately, I guess anything is possible.

I assume there were 13 for the rhabo whatever. I mentioned it here because Jon dropped Tanners name on the Deace show and that is incorrect. This from people very close to the family and again, they should know.
