Not the worst record...

but definitely the most dissappointing season I can remember in my lifetime. Much worst in my opinion than 2007, we didn't have the talent we had this year.

I find myself almost indifferent. All of my friends that are not Hawkeye fans have seen my dissappointment in the last few weeks and have been supportive saying "hey, you'll get a win this week and get a good bowlgame", I wasn't so sure, they couldn't understand my lack of confidence, now they know.

I have been a little unsure of the coaching staff this year but have remembered the success they have had overall so gave them the benefit of the doubt. You have to put a little owness on the players too. I love KF and love him even more as a person than a coach, but at the end of the day he is responsible for the success, or lack thereof of the team. Let me be clear, I AM NOT calling for him to be fired...but I think it's now clear that if we don't have a particular talent needed for the schemes we run on Offense on Defense, then adjustments have to be made, which are not being made.

We are going back to a underdog, middle of the road Big Ten Team. No clue what we have for next year but my faith is seriously damaged and probably will be until I see success again.

I don't believe in "fate" or "luck" most of the time. We needed more than luck this year. It's as if different facets took turns to be the reason for the losses this year, culminating in utter failure (minus good performances from Coker and DJK) in all facets. The reality is that in football you need more than a couple players to get it done.

I don't want to go back to medicrity, but I don't know what the answers are either. The pain, the pain, and worse....the indifference is sneaking in......

Tough to imagine a Bowl really excited about this team, even worse, I think the last 4 games and performance inspiring a lot of Iowa fans to travel.... This could have lasting effects on this team......

6-6 is never good...when you were expected to contend.

This could be the beginning of the end for the KF era. Next year looks interesting. We have a good nucleus of players but coming back to run the same schemes could lead to another under perform season
