The Bad: Special teams today qualified for the Special Olympics. Lots of sloppy penalties. Boone did not have a good day. Taylor's fumble. Some #OldKirk flashbacks in this game------->(PUNTING at MD's 36 yard line)--is just one example--A FG there makes it a 3 score game.

The Ugly: doucheoli and I are internet enemies until he apologizes to me for singling me out and hurting my feelings. (the apology must come with a gift card to marie callendars or I won't accept)

Just keep winning. At 8-0 I won't be one to complain. Nor will I at 9-0, or 10-0,or 11-0, or 12-0. If they keep winning the rest should take care of itself. No reason to discuss hypothetical scenarios at this point.

Not a Kool-aid drinker, not a glass half full guy when it comes to coaching, and certainly not impressed with the second half (except King), but I disagree. No way we get left out at this point. We may be the underdogs from here on out in those discussions, but we are in the discussions.

How you play one week doesn't translate to how you play the next. If our bad game results in a 16 point win against a bad team, we will go undefeated in the regular season. The only team we play that's better than Maryland is Nebraska. And it's not even a given that they're better.

It was a good game on a slippery field. Maryland played hard, Iowa was a little rusty. Iowa is 8-0.

This keeps getting mentioned. Last 5 seasons - Iowa Big Ten games after Bye Weeks. This does not look too bad to me.

The first half they looked pretty darn good. Running the football and they used the end of the half perfectly! I'm liking this new Ferentz. The second half penalties killed the defense and that has to get cleaned up. The one thing that bothers me is the protection for C J. If we can't protect him why get him killed. Hand the ball off. Surely they have some sort of play they could use instead. 8-0 and I'm happy as hell! On to hoosierville!

Maryland was tied against the #1 ranked team in the second half. Maryland never got closer than 2 scores to Iowa in the second half of this game. Iowa is a playoff caliber team, don't doubt it.
