The players have to be pretty upset with themselves after the Northwestern game, and I fully expect a bounce back game against the Vols. I think Iowa is a match up nightmare for Umass too so there's that.

Illinois and Iowa kind of flipped places between last year and this year. Last year, Iowa was playing strong at the end, but Illinois got the bid. This year, Illinois was playing good ball at the end, but Iowa got the bid. Sure, we had a better conference record both years, but right now Illinois is the better team. They also won at MSU. There was no shame in losing that last game to Illinois.

The good news is this gives us a chance to get a couple wins against decent opponents before we play a really good one. One win against umass would help confidence a little but 2 wins would help a lot. If we can't win against Tennessee we were gunna be one and done anyway. This might be exactly what this team needs to get a run going.
