Northwestern favored by 2

Based on that line I assume that means Marble isnt going to play or will be limited

I think the Hawks win either way

Well you typically get 3 pts for homecourt so it sounds like vegas thinks iowa is better. I like iowa with or without marble to stop the bleeding. If crawford was playing I would look at it differently.

or, everyone who isn't a hawk homer just thinks Iowa is a very average team and have seen the games they have played away from carver.

Once again a very big road test for the Hawks. Hopefully they are finally productive against NW's 1-3-1 zone trap. I think Hawks keep it close but lose by 5 pts.

This might be true but have you seen NW play without Crawford. They arent very good

So based on your post you assume Marble will play and be his normal self?

Yeah, and they were pretty bad both times. Northwestern is better than Tech.

Without Crawford? Its a toss up

Either way that game was a long time ago...I might be wrong but I think they will play better today now that that they have a little road experience

Anywho, my only point in posting this is I think it means Marble will be limited

I think it comes down to how Iowa rotates on defense to stop Northwestern's outside shooting. They don't seem to have much in the paint again this year.

8 point win over mediocre sun belt team - neutral court
rolled by a good MVC team - neutral court
beat down by a VT team that won't see the post season - away
7 point win over a less than average MVC team - neutral court
curb stomping at hands of likely B1G champ - away

2-3 away from Carver. the wins haven't looked very good and the losses have all been beat downs. all 5 of these games were with a healthy marble. Him playing today is irrelevant, Iowa is a very pedestrian team away from home. I'm sure there are some very distinct stats to back this up, but....

you were making sense until this...how is your best player's status for the game not relevant? Unless you just assume that no matter what they arent winning a road game all season long

i don't think they win THIS road game, with or without him. my reasoning for that is how they have looked in all their other games away from home.

until they prove otherwise, only time I think they will have the edge away from carver in conference is @neb and @Pedo

All road games are not equal, although I admit that playing the Wildcats over there has been less than pleasurable lately. Hopefully that changes today.
