North Florida Coach Post - Game Interview with Audio SIAP

Well there's this quote from an article on Marble being drafted, but who knows..

Said Marble: "Being in college four years will help me. Coach McCaffery kept all of his promises to me, and I love him."

one coach gets praised for developing professional athletes, and one does not. hmmmmm.......

i thought all that mattered was Ws??

Fran yells, therefore he cares more. He has more passion.

All I know is this: there is a problem in Houston.

We're 1-4 in the meaningful games but there are no bad losses on our resume IMO...like home losses to Texas Southern, NJIT or Incarnate Word.

We'll be fine if we can start making some outside shots...which I think we will. If we don't start making shots then we will ultimately get what we deserve based on our play. There's a lot of season left. We're in a 14 way tie for 1st in conference play.

After 16 seasons, it does. In the same amount of seasons that Fran has been at Iowa, he has vastly out performed kfootball. You simply can't compare the two. But since you brought it up...how much slack was kfootball given from 2005 through 2007? Hmmmmmm......

You kfootball apologists can't help yourselves in reaching for any remote item to turn the tables on folks that are fed up with kfootball. Keep in mind that most of the fans that now want a new football coach used to revere him. That changes only through the actions of the revered person. With our football program, our coach has become average, makes $4 mil per, has become smug towards the fans and refuses to change his mistaken ways.

But go ahead, Fran is just like that, also. Right?

Wonderful and insightful to hear what the North Florida coach had to say. He said it is not a confidence thing necessarily.....but it is. They become discouraged when they miss. Now is that because it has been happening frequently, or is there other repercussions for missing?

Whatever the case may be, something is broken. Of course it could be these guards are simply just not that good night in and night out and they know it.

Year 1 - Nothing
Year 2 - NIT
Year 3 - NIT Runner-up
Year 4 - NCAA
Year 5 - To be determined...maybe a reversal of last season where we started fast and dropped off

We have trended upwards in the first 4 years and I'm not going to throw in the towel on the coach or the season before conference play has started in year 5.

If really was. It is always nice to listen to a coach speak openly about another team and in a coaching manner. I mean, he essentially gave us the nickel version of his scouting report and he had us pegged. It's just really interesting to hear it like that.
