North End Zone

Would like to thank the UOfIowa for taking season ticket holders seats away and giving them to the visiting team. Why couldn't they just leave them where they were.We love the wind to our back and sun in our face,I was able to get seats but there a little higher and had to go in a few more seats.Does this mean in 6 yrs when they reseat again they will move visitors in someone's seats that they had for along time.

Although I sympathize with you for losing your seats, I think the University wanted to move the visitors further from their bench/entrance tunnel. I had never understood why the visitor section was in such a friendly spot for the opposing team. It had to be a big moral boost knowing that you're going into an opposing team stadium, yet the first thing you see is your own fans. I had never understood why they were not in the higher rows, but this is a good first step from the university.

Where in the north endzone are they going to be placed? We just made our seat selection in the north endzone and didn't see anything about opposing fans.

135 row 14....I think. I tried not to be lazy and went to the website to see if they had the visitors section listed, but they don't on the seating chart at Kinnick.

Row 36-43 in all of the sections in North End Zone.We were in Sec 133 row 33, not to far to walk.My wife had two knee replacements.

The opposing team fans have been in those seats forever and it goes back to the days when football might have been more cordial. The U of I was being nice putting the fans down close to their team, it was a nice gesture.

Now it is all cutthroat and what looks good on TV. And if you can get more donations from hawk fans in those seats where opposing fans used to sit.

Somebody should have told Nebraska that it was the cordial thing to do. For a fan base that claims to be the most respectful Fanbase around, they sure do stick you in some poor seats! Their visitor section is looking down on nosebleed sections… No joke!

You guys are nuts. Those low sideline seats where visitor sit are crap, crap, crap.

They arent that good of seats true but they get to be right there when their team enters and leaves the field.

agree. They may not be the greatest seats but as someone that's sits in the south endzone I didn't like being able to see the visitors happy faces when their teams were winning. Bastards.

A few years ago after another NW win, their damn fans jumped out of the stands onto the hallowed ground of Kinnick to celebrate with their players. That really ****** me off. Let's see you ****ers jump from row 43 to do that this year, punks!

First time I've ever heard anyone say that Nebraska "claims to be the most respectful fanbase around." Maybe the most (and least) respectful "around Lincoln!"

It's a good move in the sense that the opposing team doesn't get to enter the field with cheers from their fans.

Do we have to wait until our assigned date to view what has been taken so far for seats? I assume so, as I don't see anything on my online account yet.

I'd smash that like button for this post. Well done, Fweak.

I've accessed the map a couple times to see how my section was filling up (wide open the first time I checked, and 1/3 full the second time I checked). I used the link provide in the email detailing my selection date/time.

Not sure I've heard "most respectful" but they're like the STL Cardinals fans of college football, if you believe what the media says. Apparently they used to applaud opposing teams if Nebraska lost but it was a great game, things of that nature, because they appreciated great football whether the Huskers won or lost? They don't do that anymore.

Agreed, the NEZ seats are too good for the visiting fans. I used to sit near the coach's cam. great seats, there is a reason the coaches cam is there, much more fun than 101 or 110, but no, some retred had to move the visiting fans there now, so I have to transplant to the SEZ, unless I want to sit behind a bunch a Cornholers & Cheeseheads

almost told the ticket office to stick my renewal up their asz, but I figured if my new seats suck, I'll just sell them all on StubHub, and buy ones somewhere else.

Just look and see what seats are still available, low rows in the corners and seats way high.If a hundred visiting fans out cheer over 70,000 Hawk fans we have a problem.I still will be in North End Zone right in front of the visitor section, just don't think we should give them that good of seats.JMO.

It's all about the exposure factor.. The TV cameras generally stay low to the field and te first few rows of the stadium. The idea is to fill those seats with Hawkeye fans so potential recruits at home aren't sitting there thinking, "damn, Wisconsin has a lot of fans there."
