Norm's Impact

Had a discussion with a friend who said things will be pretty much status quo with the return of Norm to lead the defense or at least have more input from here out. I'm not arguing the results of the current coaching staff and defense, and he made good points...6th in Scoring D, 6th in Rushing D, but I would suggest his impact will be felt in calling the game...and getting us off the field on 3rd down. My point is that his experience would dictate an elevation in our game planning and calls. This means we get better.

Will there be a discernible difference in the games ahead?

Norm=Best DC in the country and is the heart and soul of our Iowa defensive identity.

so no...it's not a big deal.

Compare EIU and Michigan St. to the rest of our games...We need him! I dread the day he retires...and yes he is that Important to us!

If we had norm the whole season we would have 1 loss this year and that would have been against Zona. There was nothing he could have done in that game.
