I think one aspect of this game that has been lost in various off the field happenings is the fact that this is the final game of Norm Parker's coaching career.
I know it sounds hokey and cliche but I really hope the defense steps their game up for him one last time. I think we all know this isn't the most talented group of Iowa defenders on paper, but they've shown flashes throughout the year and I feel like they'll be ready to go. I would speculate that the overall health of the D was a lot worse than we knew and hopefully everyone is as close to 100% as you can be at this point in the year.
The RB situation has been the main concern and of course fartgate, but let's hope the D turns in a good performance to send coach Parker out on a high note.
