Norm = Big Deal. How Big?

Let's play hypothetical here. How big of a deal is it that Norm hasn't been around for most of this year? I'm thinking our record would be at least 9-1 with Norm around on a day-to-day basis calling the shots and developing the weekly gameplan for this team. It could be one of those hidden factors that have a rather large impact on the outcome of the entire season. It's too bad.

I have been thinking the same thing about Norm being gone. When he came back against MSU the D really stepped it up. I gotta say our D is different when Norm is out of the office.

WRONG. It doesn't matter whether Parker's hand is on the game plan - his assistants are executing his plan. It matters what type of offense the other team has. With a run first offense, like Michigan State or Penn State, the defense thrives. With a spread or pass offense, like Indiana, Northwestern, Purdue, Michigan, Illinois, Wisconsin (at times) or Ohio State, the defense struggles.

This trend has been in evidence year after year under Parker.

Norm cannot stop the cats.

2005 - you guys lost when Norm's defense collapsed in the 4th quarter
2006 - you guys were outclassed and destroyed
2007 - Norm spotted us 14 points, but Jake Christensen was dominant and you guys won
2008 - Norm had nothing
2009 - another Iowa loss with Norm running the defense
2010 - different year same result

Face facts guys, your program is NOT as good as NU. Go Cats RrRRRRRaaaarrrrgghhhh.

Another Wildcat FIIIIRSSST DOWN RRRRRRRAAAAAARRRGGHHH!
