I used to work with a guy that graduated from USC - Upstate. He now has a couple of books on Amazon!
That game tonight for the most part was pretty ugly. Turnovers, free throws, can't make a three, you name it, we aren't doing it. We need to improve a lot before conference play.

That’s just it, tho. You weren’t getting any rebounding from them. It was Payton and Freeman that was doing the heavy lifting on the boards and it looks like the same thing this year .

Last nights game against USC was fun to watch, but they have a lot of work to do and improvements to make. The Good news is they have time to do it.
I will never forget Mr. Davis’s first year as Iowa’s head coach. That team was excellent on both sides of the court. You just felt confident that they would win most games. I miss that feeling.
It’s been a long time that I felt that way, in fact I am not sure I have ever felt that confident in Iowa basketball team since that team. I had hopes when we won the Big Ten Tournament against Purdue, but to say the following performance in March madness was a disappointment is a major understatement.
I see some very good things about this year’s teams and at the same time I wouldn’t bet the farm against any of the top ten teams in the conference.
Let’s hope we start to gel and develop more chemistry. Would love to see more aggressive defense, but we have been saying that most of Fran’s tenure.
